I really like the app. However lately when I am editing a campaign certain things will prompt a message saying "something went wrong". Once it does this, I am rarely able to edit that portion of the campaign. For instance, when I try to edit the media links at the bottom of the campaign (Facebook, Instagram, etc) it does this and then I am unable to get into edit or even delete the section. I tried to send a message through "help & support"on app but it says something went wrong with that too.
Everything we need, but wish it were easier to take unsubscribes off your paying list so you don't have to keep paying for them, and the manual process is a bear that I had to reach out to customer service to learn how to do properly. They do respond quickly though and try to help as much as they can. They even refunded me the difference after I figured out how to remove the unsubscribers from my list. So many good features though that it makes up for it and the price isn't bad for all of it!
currently cannot sign on to my account via mobile app. Have uninstalled and reinstalled twice. Have contacted "customer service" with nothing but a canned response received. Have used this app for years with no issues. Suddenly, the sign on is hit/miss and mostly miss giving a sign in error message when the credentials ARE correct. Trying to find out if theres some kind of setting on my phone that is blocking it, but with no response thats impossible. Need assistance with the app!
My small business is still on the free plan and has brought in thousands of dollars with a monthly email newsletter. I use a desktop computer to craft emails with templates, then use the app to send the draft at a specific day & time (usually Thursday midday). It integrates with Shopify so I can easily pull in product photos. My other favorite feature is the link checker to test URLs before sending. Once we get big enough to pay, MailChimp definitely has earned my loyalty!
Contact import needs improvements!!! Search, Contacts where i have "," in the surname because i like to include short comments are not correctly imported, adresses always look like this "Address(street-BUILDINGNUMBER STREETNAME" but no city name etc even though I have it in the Google Contacts. If a contact can't be imported the error only shows the number of failed contacts but no names to easily find & fix. Only 3 most recently used tags are shown. can't delete/rename tags to stay organized.
Mailchimp is a fantastic email marketing tool it can also be used as a CRM and has many cross platform functionalities. Give it a try!
it's a really helpful tool for business owners! it doesn't charge until you reach a certain number of contacts which is nice. it's also easy to use
I just downloaded the app but I can't seem to sign up, after filling the necessary details, it says unable to create an account.
Great app for email marketing campaigns and all kinds of bulk email blasts. very useful stuff..
Good Product, but reviewing others as expensive for a limit of 500 contacts
MailChimp user since 2021. I typically use the desktop application but have used the Android app to send emails and check stats. It can be buggy sometimes (specifically, I'm not always able to add links by highlighting text on the app and restarting doesn't solve this). Other than that, it's still a user friendly app and service that I recommend for folks just starting out.
Please work on the following. When editing a campaign, the space given is so small, I don't know why it gives a large blank space that cannot be typed on, and I can't see the rest of the text I'm working with. Also, when I try to add a link to a text, the app freezes with an overlay, I have to close and restart the app several times even with a phone that has 6GB of RAM.
So far I haven't had a great experience with this app! I hoped to be able to create an email list via my mobile. I ended up doing all of my work on the Mailchimp website... which is also very difficult to navigate! You really need access to a PC...it is near impossible to modify templates via mobile. Not possible to write emails at all via the app. Not for me anyway. All was not lost, I did manage to create a Welcome Email and also created a signup link. No idea where to edit this link though.
I took almost 4 years out of my business so to be able to go back to MailChimp and have so much still sat there but even easier to use and access, plus seeing metrics on the app is awesome. I'm very impressed.
I spent days setting up my system, but MailChimp deactivated me for just a few days of inactivity. Starting from scratch is exhausting. The app is also too slow and lacks mobile campaign creation. It needs a lot of work.
I love Mailchimp but the mobile app is not user friendly. The user spends alot of time trying to figure out where the contacts are. There is a jumble of statistics which overshadow other functionalities. When you get to the contacts list, you can't sort them by tags. In the process you are stuck with a long list of contacts which you have scroll through to get particular contacts. On the desktop version, it's not easy to find the option of editing a contact. Tags cannot be created on the fly.
Any attempt to create an email was abandoned after the fifth go. Everything works, albeit clumsily up until you actually edit / create a campaign. The first text box turned into an endless scroll of "start typing" and it was impossible to progress further. Incredibly frustrating. I can glimpse how it might work well, but right now it's a mess
It is not stable on android. When you upload pictures they do not appear, you have to close the app and open again to see that picture. In Campaign list, two separate lines go on top of each other. Also, when you add a contact, you write a name but when you save the contact the name might just disappear. A lot of bugs. Please fix.

love the ease of using Mailchimp! designing is simple and the campaign review is super helpful.
MailChimp is one of the best newsletter services out there and sets the standard for newsletters both on web and mobile. I have been using it for many years now and am very satisfied with the features, newsletter designs and deep dive reporting - honestly there is no other product [that I know of] that even comes close! The only downside is the pricing which I feel is kind of expensive, otherwise everything else is 100%. The mobile app allows you to do so much on the go: design to reports.
